New Recreation Vehicles Offer Luxury and High-Tech Features

Northwest Michigan Camper & RV Show Opens Tomorrow

TRAVERSE CITY, MI--(Marketwire - March 25, 2010) - Camping today isn't what it used to be. A family of four squeezed into a station wagon packed full with the bare necessities, food and clothing. Today's RVs are light, well equipped and technologically advanced, providing all the comforts and convenience of a home away from home. Explore the different types of RVs that can accommodate your budget, needs and tastes at the 18th Annual Northwest Camper & RV Show, March 26-28, 2010, at the Grand Traverse County Civic Center in downtown Traverse City, Mich.

Fully equipped kitchens and baths and central heating/air conditioning are now basic features in most RV models. Today, RVs contain special features such as washer/dryers, full refrigerator/freezers, fluorescent lights, fireplaces, king-sized bed slide-outs, curbside slide-out awnings and patio doors. High-tech gadgets such as high-definition TVs, DVD/CD players, MP3/IPOD connection, cable/satellite hook ups, security lights are also in many new RV models.

Consumers can expect to find RV models with these features and much more at the 18th Annual Northwest Michigan Camper & RV Show. The DynaQuest is loaded with upscale décor and amenities like laminate hardwood flooring, GPS, backup camera, ceramic tile and more. At 30 feet long, the DynaQuest is more agile and maneuverable than the typical class "A" motorhome. Also on display will be the Quicksilver 6.0 by Livin' Lite, the only vehicle in its class with the ability to sleep up to six people and be towed by fuel efficient cars. With 18 miles per gallon, the Airstream Interstate 3500 has exceptional fuel mileage for a class "B" motorhome with a 5,000 pound towing capacity. The DynaQuest and Interstate 3500 both feature Mercedez Benz diesel engines for outstanding torque.

2010 RVs will be on display with special closeout pricing offered on 2009 models at the show. Booths featuring parts and accessories, campground information, RV financing and RV rentals will be set up to make this the complete RV show experience.

The show is sponsored by the Michigan Association of Recreation Vehicles and Campgrounds (MARVAC), a member organization representing all aspects of the camping and RV industries. Consumers can call 517.349.8881 or visit marvac.org for additional information on the RV show.
