New World Gold to Begin Gold Production

BOCA RATON, FL--(Marketwire - January 19, 2010) - New World Gold Corp (PINKSHEETS: NWGC) is pleased to announce it has acquired a 75% interest in mineral leases in Montana. The leases have proven developed gold reserves and proven developed sapphire reserves. A mining permit has been issued for the leases. The Company expects to be in full production by the end of February, 2010.

The historical geological reports, independent assessments and in-house exploration and development combined with a random sampling program indicates that in the opinion of the company that there 115,000 proven developed ounces of gold. The Company anticipates recovering 2000 to 2500 ounces of gold in the first year of production with a significant production increase in the second year. There are additional proven and probable gold reserves that are currently being evaluated. Random sampling has also shown pockets of sapphires that range in size from 10 to 14 carats. The Company had expected that the sapphires would range from 4 to 6 carats. This represents a significant increase in the value of the leases. Historically, independent reports show that the sapphire reserves are 2500 carats per ton based on an average size of 4 to 6 carats. The large sized sapphires significantly increase the value of the leases.
