New World Systems to Automate Computer Aided Dispatching Operations for York County, Pa.

TROY, MI -- (MARKET WIRE) -- August 10, 2005 -- New World Systems, a leading provider of enterprise-wide software solutions for the public sector, announced that the Department of Emergency Services, 9-1-1 Communications Center for the County of York, Pa., signed a contract valued at approximately $1.9 million for its Aegis®/MSP Public Safety software and services.

The county's dispatching operations are currently manual, requiring dispatchers to write out calls for service and the additional information associated with the call. New World will provide the county with its first Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system, automating processes from dispatching appropriate units to ensuring the right equipment arrives at the scene to decrease response times and enhance service.

New World's Mobile Computing will also enhance communication between CAD and officers in the field. Officers will be able to view CAD information on the mobile computing terminal in the unit, such as all calls for service, priorities, units assigned to specific calls, details about the incident, etc., which is one of the key features the agency is anxious to implement.

"We chose New World for several reasons," said Executive Director Eric Bistline, York County, Pa. "With more than 20 years in the industry, New World's software has the functionality, ease of use, and experienced people behind the product. The company's corporate office accommodates all of the support staff, and it is a benefit that development works closely with the customer support call center."

Developed in-house using Microsoft technology, including industry standard Windows 2000 Server and SQL Server 2000, New World's software solution will be an easy transition for all the agencies in the county.

"The goal is to improve agency processes, increase officer and community safety, and enhance services to our citizens, and New World's software will help us accomplish this," said Bistline. "We look forward to a long-term relationship with New World."

New World's software will help 98 communications personnel, 20 police departments, 68 fire departments and 35 EMS companies enhance services to approximately 400,000 citizens in the county, and respond to 300,000-plus calls for service a year.
