NewMarket Technology, Inc. Management to Participate in 26th Annual SEC Conference Focused on Small Business Capital Formation


DALLAS, TX--(Marketwire - November 18, 2008) - NewMarket Technology, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: NMKT) today announced Company CEO Philip M. Verges and CFO Philip J. Rauch will be participating in the Securities and Exchange Commission's (SEC) 26th Annual Conference focused on small business capital formation. The conference will be held from 9 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. EST, Thursday, November 20 at SEC headquarters in Washington, D.C.

NewMarket management is committed to participating in the improvement of the small business capital market process. In such effort, management is working to learn more about the small business capital market process outside of their experience with NewMarket. Management also plans to share NewMarket's experiences in the capital markets in an effort to improve small business capital market public policy. Following the meeting, NewMarket plans to host a Webcast conference in December to provide feedback from the meeting to NewMarket shareholders.

About the SEC's 26th Annual Small Business Conference

This year's SEC Conference forum will focus on the impact of recent capital market events on small business capital formation in the United States, with a particular focus on the impact of the Economic Stabilization Act of 2008 to small businesses. Additionally, participants will look at ways to reduce or eliminate impediments that typically hinder small businesses in the capital raising process.

During the conference there will be two roundtable sessions focusing on:

--  Small Business Capital Formation and the Current Credit Crisis
--  Current Issues in Securities Regulation for Smaller Companies
    

After the roundtables, there will be four breakout groups focused on:

--  Private Placement and M&A Brokers Panel
--  Securities Offerings by Private Companies
--  Securities Regulation of Smaller Public Companies
--  Taxes
    

During the breakout groups, participants will work on formulating specific policy suggestions that will be considered by the Commission and will be sent to Congress and referred to other government agencies if they involve matters other than federal securities law.
