Nominations Open for Tech Council of Maryland's CIO&CTO Live Awards

Deadline to Nominate IT Leaders Is October 1

ROCKVILLE, MD--(Marketwire - August 25, 2010) -  The Tech Council of Maryland (TCM), the state's largest technology trade association, announced today that it is now accepting nominations for the fifth annual Mid-Atlantic CIO&CTO Live Awards. The awards, which will be presented at a ceremony on November 4, 2010, at the Ronald Reagan Center in Washington, D.C., are the only ones to honor the achievements of the most influential, Chief Information Officers (CIOs), Chief Technology Officers (CTOs) and senior IT leaders in the Mid-Atlantic region.

Nominations are due by Friday, October 1, 2010. CIOs, CTOs, vice presidents and senior leaders in IT can be nominated in one of six categories:

  • Non-Profit/Association Industry IT Executive
  • Government Sector IT Executive
  • Commercial Industry IT Executive
  • Technology Product of the Year
  • IT Rising Star of the Year
  • Chief Information Security Officer of the Year

Last year, more than 50 individuals were nominated for these awards. Winners of the 2009 CIO&CTO Live Awards included Government IT Executive of the Year - Casey Coleman, CIO of GSA; Commercial IT Executive of the Year - David Kline, executive vice president and CIO of Discovery Communications; Non-Profit IT Executive of the Year - Judith Wood, CIO and vice president of IT at the University of Baltimore; and Product of the Year - ManageRight software from TeleBright Software Corporation.
