At Broadband World Europe (Stand 1028, 8-11 October, Berlin, Germany) Nortel will demonstrate how these solutions can be used to simplify and cost-effectively transform businesses, services and networks by making it easier and more convenient to exchange information either in the office or on the move.

- Metro Ethernet: Nortel's innovative Provider Backbone Transport (PBT) technology is set to revolutionize metro networking by helping Service Providers support the growing demand for high-bandwidth video and data services in their metropolitan networks. A live demonstration of Nortel's PBT-based resilient Carrier Ethernet solution will show how a high-quality video stream continues without interruption during a fibre break.

- Carrier VoIP and IMS: Nortel's carrier solutions for making networks easy to implement, manage and maintain, and providing scalability, quality of service and simplicity. Visitors to the Nortel stand can participate in live demonstrations of Carrier VoiP, video, multimedia and Fixed Mobile Convergence services for residential and business users.

- WiMAX: Nortel's fixed and mobile WiMAX solutions for enabling access to 4G wireless, high-speed broadband. Nortel's 802.16-2005 mobile WiMAX solution enables mobile broadband access anywhere, anytime, on a range of devices. WiMAX experts will be on hand to discuss Nortel's end-to-end solution including a range of WiMAX terminal devices such as PC express cards and USB dongles for WiMAX connectivity on laptops, as well as indoor routers and outdoor gateways for WiMAX to the home or business.
