North Plains' CTO, Steve Sauder, to Speak on Rich Media and Digital Asset Management at Upcoming Conferences & Events

Chief Technology Officer of Innovative Digital Asset Management Pioneer Will Provide Thought Leadership and Insight Into Industry Topics

TORONTO--(Marketwire - October 24, 2007) - North Plains Systems Corp., the leading provider of digital asset management (DAM) software and solutions, today announced that CTO Steve Sauder, a 20-year veteran of the software industry, will be speaking at several upcoming trade shows and events.

In 1994, Sauder founded North Plains Systems Corp., which is now the leading developer of enterprise-class Digital Asset Management software solutions. Widely considered a pioneer and thought leader in the field of rich media management, metadata management and HCI (human-computer interaction), Sauder continues to expand the technological boundaries of the DAM market.

Steve will deliver a series of web seminars over the coming months. The first of these educationally progressive web seminars, focused on managing rich media, is titled "Choosing the Right Tool for the Job - It's Time for Digital Asset Management" and will be held on Thursday, Oct. 25. This will be a must for anyone who is looking for an introductory-level approach to understanding the fundamental methods, techniques and time-tested principles of securely storing, retrieving, managing and distributing photos, images, video and audio within an organization. Building on this foundation, Steve's next web seminar on Tuesday, Nov. 20, titled "From Creation, To Production, to Delivery: TeleScope Has You Covered," will focus on the award-winning TeleScope platform, designed to meet the diverse range of a company's rich media requirements from small to mid-size organizations and design studios to the complex business challenges of global enterprises. These organizations need to create an end-to-end digital media supply chain that supports the creation, integration and repurposing of rich media in mission critical applications.

At the Henry Stewart Conference on Nov. 12 & 13, at the Renaissance Hollywood Hotel in Hollywood, Calif., Sauder will showcase the latest innovations within the TeleScope suite of products, including the recently released TeleScope Studio -- a new line of easy-to-use, out-of-the box rich media management applications. Steve will highlight the entire TeleScope platform and explain its many benefits during live demonstrations both at North Plains' booth (#131) and during his presentation at Henry Stewart.

Sauder will also speak at an upcoming North Plains-hosted event titled "Maximize Your ROI With Digital Asset Management" taking place on Tuesday, Nov. 27, in Manhattan, N.Y. This event, sponsored by North Plains partner Sun Microsystems, will also feature industry consultants and innovative DAM platform users. This event will feature presentations, case studies, success stories and demonstrations. Sauder will be central to the discussion on the growing need for DAM and its complementary value to those in the print & publishing, media & entertainment, broadcast and advertising industries.

"The creation and use of rich media has grown at an exponential rate over the years, in part because of its increasing appeal, but also because of the better network infrastructure, decreasing cost of storage, and the internet maturing as a marketing tool, knowledge base, sales channel, and delivery mechanism," said Sauder. "Over our 12 years of continual development of the TeleScope platform, we've seen our customers achieve remarkable breakthroughs in terms of costs savings, streamlined creative workflows, and the creation of entirely new revenue channels. I look forward to sharing my thoughts and experiences on DAM at these industry-leading shows and events."

North Plains will also be exhibiting at the upcoming Digital Hollywood Fall Conference from Tuesday, Oct. 30, to Thursday, Nov. 1, at the Renaissance Hollywood Hotel in Hollywood, Calif. Key staff will be providing demos of the TeleScope suite of products and will be available for discussion as well. North Plains' booth at Digital Hollywood will be #69.
