Norway's State Broadcaster, NRK, Adopts Entriq PUBLISH for Streamlined Delivery of Content to Production Platforms and Consumer Digital Devices

Entriq's Scandinavian Channel Partner, AVIT-Systems Norge, Signs Contract With NRK to Seamlessly Digitize, Catalog and Distribute Video Content From Multiple Sources

CARLSBAD, CA--(Marketwire - April 28, 2008) - Entriq, a leading digital media company that makes it easy for content providers and broadcasters to quickly and efficiently get their video content to viewers, today announced that it will partner with its Scandinavian channel partner, AVIT-Systems to become the online video technology provider to NRK, Norway's state broadcaster.

Entriq PUBLISH is a video technology solution that enables broadcasters real-time delivery of rich media content to consumer digital platforms. Entriq's technology streamlines workflows, which significantly reduces operational overhead and increases potential new business opportunities.

Norway's largest broadcaster, NRK has always had a reputation for technology innovation and leadership. It was the first broadcaster in Norway to bring its content to the web, and is now showing its commitment to reaching its large audience on multiple platforms (web, mobile, PDAs, etc.) by putting Entriq's advanced technology in place. With this partnership, content will be delivered to viewers in whatever way they choose, all the while reducing demands on NRK's own resources.

"Working with Entriq, we will be providing NRK with a Content Management System that allows them to easily ingest, manage and publish video and audio assets with associated metadata to all digital media platforms," said Peter Lund, Product Manager of AVIT-Systems. "This will enable NRK to plan for and implement increased output and distribution, as well as helping them to achieve their business goals for content delivery on popular consumer devices."

Scheduled to launch in June 2008 at NRK's main broadcast centre in Oslo, Entriq PUBLISH will seamlessly integrate with NRK's existing infrastructure, including: Programme Bank (NRK internal project providing centralized store for ALL video content), Omnibus broadcast media management system, Quantel's SQ News production platform, ENPS newsroom automation system, DigAS radio automation system and Polopoly web CMS. The Entriq system replaces NRK's legacy platform.

"In today's market, broadcasters want to eliminate lengthy and cumbersome workflow for publishing content, and the high operational overheads of having to copy clips to tape and physically deliver them," said Andrew Ioannou, Vice President Business Development, Channels & Partners at Entriq. "Our customers have multiple sources of video content that need to be digitized, cataloged and distributed. They want a solution that journalists can easily use, which doesn't require any technical know-how, and eliminates risk. We're delighted to be working with NRK and our partner AVIT-Systems Norge to deliver these benefits."

Entriq PUBLISH allows content and rich metadata to be ingested, managed, stored, formatted, processed and published for both internal and consumer usage. It publishes on all popular platforms including Web, PDA, mobile phones, podcasts for video on demand, and live video broadcast. PUBLISH integrates with broadcast content devices such as video servers, newsroom control, traffic and automation systems to acquire associated metadata to enable automated or semi-automated workflow rule processing and distribution. PUBLISH is part of the Entriq Media Solution that can incorporate other modules to meet any requirements. These modules include: CONTROL for content usage protection, SYNDICATE for automated distribution, MONETIZE for pay or ad-supported opportunities, DISCOVER and ANALYZE for content search and experience insights, as well as a host of other products and services.
