Not So Pro Sports Donates $125 000 to Build an Interactive 'Play Zone' Available to Everyone at Ashbridges Beach

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - April 28, 2008) - The Beach community will be receiving a brand new playground located at Ashbridges Beach. Not So Pro Sports, a proud member of the Beach community for the past 13 years, wants to show their appreciation by donating $125 000 to build an interactive 'Play Zone' available to everyone.

"The idea is to provide a safe and interactive 'Play Zone' where children can have fun learning and playing simultaneously", says company founder and president, John Morrison. Although the services provided by Not So Pro are usually targeted toward adults, this project is designed to give back to the children and families of the community. Being directly associated with sports and social scenes, Not So Pro understands the benefits that sports, active living, and interacting with others can provide and are trying to give the children in the community the opportunity to realize these benefits as well.

The 'Play Zone' will include some of the regular items that a playground would usually have such as slides and swings. This 'Play Zone', however, will also incorporate other attractions including an archaeological dig site where children can search for "dinosaur bones" and a bouldering rock where they can put their climbing skills to the test. In addition, park benches, bike racks, and gardens will be on site for the enjoyment of everyone.

For the past three years Not So Pro and the city of Toronto have been working cooperatively to create a reserve fund which would enable the 'Play Zone' project to commence. With the recent confirmation that the fund had been established, the project can now begin.

A committee will be established soon which will decide on the direction of this project. For more information on the 'Play Zone' project, you can visit and click on the "NSP Playground Project" link on the side panel.
