Nova Uranium Announces New Board of Directors With Property Acquisition Mandate

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - July 20, 2009) - Nova Uranium (TSX VENTURE:NUC) is pleased to announce the appointments of Mssrs. Michael Williams and Craig Barton to the Board of Directors and Mr. Jason Scharfe as an Officer of the company. Additionally, Mr. Michael Moore will move from the office of Vice-President of Exploration to the office of President.

The new Nova Board of Directors will consist of;

- Bryan Slusarchuk, Director

- Michael Williams, Director

- Craig Barton, Director

Michael Williams is the Chairman of Underworld Resources, a publicly traded Canadian company that has made two of the sector's most significant recent gold discoveries, while drilling in Yukon Territory, Canada. These discoveries are both exposed at surface, open and depth, and along strike and are attracting major interest throughout the international investment community. Mr. Williams is also a Director and Advisor to several mining exploration companies. He has significant contacts with both institutional and retail investors and has an extensive and proven investment banking network.

Mr. Craig Barton is currently the Chairman of Hub International Barton Limited and was its President and Chief Executive Officer from 1988 until January 2005. Mr. Barton has held various positions with Hub International Limited from December, 1973 and was its President of Canadian Operations from November 2001 until January 2005. Hub International is listed on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) in New York and on the TSX Exchange in Toronto. Mr. Barton has a significant business network due to his experience with multiple, major financial dealings internationally and domestically.

Mr. Jason Scharfe, during the past 12 years, has served as Vice-President, Senior Vice-President and is now a Managing Director of Marsh Canada Ltd., a subsidiary of Marsh & McLennan Companies, a New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) listed company. Mr. Scharfe obtained a diploma in financial management from the British Columbia Institute of Technology in Burnaby, British Columbia and a Bachelor of Arts (Economics) degree from the University of British Columbia. In addition to his role as Managing Director of Marsh Canada, Mr. Scharfe is an officer of Volcanic Capital Corporation, a TSX Venture listed company.

Mr. Bryan Slusarchuk remains as a director of Nova Uranium. Mr. Slusarchuk is the Chief Executive Officer of Tirex Resources, a company focused on the exploration and development of the 352 sq km Mirdita VMS District, located in Albania. Mr. Slusarchuk has significant experience financing and structuring companies involved in mineral exploration and development. Mr. Slusarchuk sits on the Boards of several private and public companies and has extensive contacts in Europe and North America and has worked within this network to debt and equity finance Canadian and international mineral exploration activities.

Mr. Michael Moore's career in mineral exploration and development has spanned more than 20 years and he has been involved in exploration programs in North America, South America and Africa. Mr. Moore has extensive experience in both precious metal and base metal exploration and has significant contacts in the mining industry, throughout the world. He is a professional geologist registered with APEGBC.

In conjunction with these additions to the Board, Nova also announces the resignations of Mssrs. Donald Moore and Neil Briggs from the Board. The company thanks them both for their hard work and dedication.

With the new board in place, the company is now considering a corporate name change and has been given a mandate to aggressively pursue highly prospective property acquisition opportunities.

The company will provide corporate updates upon material progress as it occurs relating to potential property acquisitions.
