O.A.R. Touring Continues to Grow: Band Announces Fall Dates as "STORIES OF A STRANGER" Continues Ascent; Shows Come on Heels of Biggest-Ever Summer Tour

NEW YORK, NY -- (MARKET WIRE) -- August 28, 2006 -- Everfine/Lava/Atlantic recording group O.A.R. (of a revolution) has disclosed details of their upcoming fall tour. The dates come in continued support of the band's 2005 release, "STORIES OF A STRANGER."

The just-announced itinerary will kick off on October 11th at Grand Rapids' DeltaPlex, wrapping up October 27th at the US Bank Theater at Target Center in Minneapolis. Further stops on the trek will see the band focusing their attention on the Midwest, with a pit stop in Toronto (see attached itinerary). Support on the majority of the dates will come from Army Of Me.

The new itinerary will follow O.A.R.'s summer road trip, which has seen the band headlining some of its biggest shows to date, including an impressive long weekend in which the band performed to over 40,000 fans. The band's current trek will end over Labor Day weekend with a trio of shows with the Dave Matthews Band at the Gorge in George, Washington, on Sept 1, 2 and 3.

O.A.R. has sold over one million albums to date. Their latest set, "STORIES OF A STRANGER," was released last October and is shaping up as the Maryland-based band's popular breakthrough. "Love and Memories," the collection's first single, was a top 20 hit at both Hot AC and Triple A radio outlets nationwide and continues to be a radio favorite. The band's new single, "Heard the World," is blazing up the charts, with Billboard calling it a "blockbuster sunset anthem... [with] a huge hands-in-the-air chorus..."

O.A.R. is: singer/guitarist Marc Roberge, lead guitarist Richard On, bassist Benj Gershman, drummer Chris Culos, and saxophonist Jerry DePizzo. For more information, visit
