OSTN Teams With Chicago Improv to Broadcast College Comedy Championships

CLEVELAND, OH--(Marketwire - October 22, 2007) - OSTN, the leading provider of student-produced entertainment, educational and news IPTV content and services, today announced partnership with Chicago Improv Festival Productions to bring the world's largest college comedy competition to its college audience.

The College Comedy Championships (CCC) will be held at Loyola University's Mundalein Auditorium and Columbia College Theatre and Music Center, November 2-4. For details on CCC, a comedy competition from universities across the United States, visit www.myspace.com/collegecomedychampionship.

CCC is the world's largest student comedy competition showcasing comedy talent on campuses. Many industry professionals see the competition as a scouting opportunity for the next generation of TV writers and talent.

Some of the troupes in competition are "Barren Mind" from ASU, "Seriously Bent" from Suffolk College, "45 Kings" from Loyola College, the "Cosby Sweaters" from DePaul University, "Awkward Science" and "Full Frontal" from Indiana University, "Charred Goosebeak" from Colgate, "The Humor Artists" from University of Notre Dame, "Mock Turtle Soup" from Clemson, "Dropping $cience" from Columbia College, "On the Fly Improv" from Dayton, "Charles Darwin Experience" from Arizona and the "Titanic Players" from Northwestern University.

"The first annual College Comedy Championship is going to be a wonderful event showcasing the hilarious talents of tomorrow's stars today," said Jonathan Pitts, Chicago Improv Festival Productions Executive Director. "That we get to highlight the quarter-finals through finals by telecasting them nationally and internationally on OSTN makes this opportunity for college players and college teams that much more fantastic!"

Julia Gustafson from Suffolk University shared her enthusiasm, "This is an amazing opportunity for Suffolk University's comedy team 'Seriously Bent,' and for everyone else involved, too. We're really excited about the experience we'll gain from participating in CCC and for being on OSTN!"

"OSTN is the minor league of film and TV. It will benefit Hollywood's talent agencies like CAA (Creative Artists Agency), William Morris, UTA (United Talent Agency) and ICM (International Creative Management)," said Arun Kumar, OSTN President and CEO. "If you're looking for tomorrow's stars, watch OSTN. CCC is a valuable event that had to go to a national audience and we're happy to do that."
