(OTC: AVIC) Testing Its Instant Detection of H1N1 on Humans

NOTE TO EDITORS: The Following Is an Investment Opinion Being Issued by the IO News Wire.

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - December 17, 2009) - Avisio Inc. (PINKSHEETS: AVIC) announced its subsidiary will begin with lab tests of its Instant Detect technology for the H1N1 flu virus.

Influenza A, or H1N1, or Swine Flu was declared a new strain of flu by the World Health Organization in June of 2009 and moved to an alert level phase 6, making it the first global flu pandemic since 1968. H1N1 has been known to cause pulmonary embolism (blockage of the main lung artery), and pulmonary embolisms are the leading cause of death among H1N1 patients.

Early detection is critical to treating and avoiding the spread of the H1N1 virus. Currently test samples from humans have to be sent to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) for evaluation, leaving the patient with several days with an unknown prognosis; Instant Detection would eliminate this.

Other active stocks are Biogen Idec (NASDAQ: BIIB), Abbott Labs (NYSE: ABT) and MedClean Tech (OTCBB: MCLN).
