Oak Valley Community Bank Announces Hiring

OAKDALE, CA--(Marketwire - September 25, 2007) - Oak Valley Community Bank (OTCBB: OVYB) recently announced that Stockton resident, Gail Braley, has joined the bank as Vice President, Area Manager of the Bank's Sonora branch and Eastern Sierra Division. As the Area Manager, Braley will oversee management of the Bank's Sonora, Bridgeport, Mammoth Lakes and Bishop branches. She will be primarily responsible for new business development, deposit generation and commercial loan production. Approximately half of her time will be spent in Sonora and the other half split between the three Eastern Sierra branches.

Prior to joining the Bank, Braley served as Vice President, Branch Manager for Bank of the West in Stockton, where she managed the highest transaction volume branch in their network. She also managed their Stockton-Main, Commercial Branch for a period following the acquisition of a regional community bank. After the merger, she was responsible for training new managers in the Stockton market. She has also been involved in training for consumer lending, branch operations, new accounts and new product introductions during her time there. Braley has over 30 years of combined banking experience and has been recognized as a Trust specialist and Cash Management specialist by previous employers.

"We are extremely fortunate and excited to bring Gail on board. Her banking experience and product knowledge are exceptional. It is very rare to find someone in the industry with such a well-rounded exposure to so many facets of the business," stated SVP, Retail Banking Manager, Wendy Burth. "Add to the mix that she was considering a relocation to the Sierra foothills when this opportunity presented itself and you can see it really couldn't have been more perfect for either of us," she concluded.

Braley has been a Stockton resident for 17 years. She is currently a member of the Stockton Estate Planning Council and is a former member of Stockton Rotary and the Financial Planning Association of San Joaquin County. She has also served as an advisory board member for the American Lung Association and Lilliput Children's Services as well as a board member for Stockton Women's Network. On a recreational note, she was a US Champion in Division B Bocce Ball in 1999. She also enjoys hunting, fishing and gold prospecting.

Braley attended Los Madonnas College in Pittsburg, California, and she has two grown children. She and her husband Richard are currently planning to relocate to the Sonora area.
