Oakwood Drives Sales in Highly Competitive Industry via Unique Marketing Programs

LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire - April 8, 2010) -  Oakwood, the founder and leader of global temporary housing, was presented with the Tower of Excellence Award - Most Creative Marketing by the Corporate Housing Providers Association (CHPA) at the CHPA 2010 Annual Conference. This award recognizes an outstanding marketing concept that greatly impacted corporate housing in the past year. Oakwood's 2009 "High Impact Marketing Campaign" was singled out for its effective messaging style and measurable success in capturing new prospects and regaining previous accounts. 

Oakwood's campaign launched in October 2009 with the objective to help sales associates secure in-person appointments. "Our contact strategy was simple -- to reach the desk of the buyer we wanted to win an initial appointment with, or in some cases, win them back as a customer," says Chris Ahearn, Oakwood's SVP Sales and Marketing. "The team invested research, strategy, and creative energy to crank out a unique marketing tool that ultimately had a 500% return on investment."

Using memorable film-canister packaging, the Oakwood Marketing team crafted creative messaging for 14 unique audiences and sent collateral, location-specific movie tickets and a limited time discount offer to each recipient. Oakwood sales associates timed follow-up calls and visits to occur after the mailing was received. The plan proved to be an early success and prompted two additional rounds of mailers later in the year.

This is the third CHPA Tower of Excellence Award - Most Creative Marketing for Oakwood in the past four years.
