Odyssey's Drilling at Tavsan Expands Gold Zones

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - May 25, 2006) - Odyssey Resources Limited (TSX VENTURE:ODX) reports that drilling is progressing well at the Company's Tavsan gold project in Turkey. Results from almost all holes drilled into the Sivri and Incal gold zones have been received and results confirm that at-surface and near-surface blankets of gold-bearing jasperoid spread well beyond the historically known dimensions of the Main Zone.

The results of this step-out drilling in the Sivritepe and Incal zones returned values and thicknesses similar to that of the Main Zone, at slightly less grade and slightly less thickness. Grades of up to 1.57 g/t gold and mineralization thicknesses of 2 metres to 18 metres true thickness were encountered in 17 of the 26 holes recently completed. Nine holes did not intersect any significant mineralization.

In addition to expanding these zones of low grade mineralization typical of the upper portions of sediment-hosted or "Carlin" type gold deposits, this work has revealed another new higher grade intercept indicating another possible feeder structure. As part of the recent drilling, hole ODX-53 intersected a 4-metre thickness averaging 4.52 grams per tonne gold, of which 1 metre ran 8.42 grams per tonne. This new target, located in the Incal zone, is among many others being delineated as a result of the current drilling program and the detailed reinterpretation of existing structural and multi-element analytical data from surface and drill samples. The more dispersed, near and at surface mineralization had been the focus of historic drilling; however, recent work by Odyssey has also established the presence of a number of feeder structures none of which have been tested, to date.

For further information, a 'feeder structure' is a fault that acted as a conduit for mineralizing fluids rising from depth, from which gold and other metals precipitate at various levels and in a variety of fashions depending upon a number of geologic factors; lower grades are typically encountered higher up, near surface, where gold zones also tend to be more laterally dispersed, and higher grades are typically found at greater depth and within the feeder structures themselves.

Odyssey's drilling in the Main Zone is underway. The results of the first five holes range from 0.4 g/t to 1.08 g/t gold over 6 to 18 metres true thickness. All holes have been drilled at a 100-metre spacing. Given the generally flat-lying nature of the surface gold zones, all intercepts are considered to represent true or near-true thicknesses; please refer to a recently updated plan map of the drilling grid and interpretive cross section at: http://odysseyresources.com/TavsanGoldProperty.htm.

Samples were assayed at ALS Chemex Laboratories in Vancouver where the analytical procedure consists of pulverizing split samples followed by acqua regia digestion and atomic absorption finish. A quality control program consisting of duplicates, and standards were inserted into the sample stream.

Mr. Cem Yuceer, Odyssey's Exploration Manager in Turkey, is the manager of this drill program and Avrom E. Howard, P.Geo. (Ontario) is the Qualified Person responsible for this project under the terms of National Instrument 43-101.
