Taking first place in the category of Paid Publication Advertising Campaign by organizations serving areas with populations exceeding 200,000, the "Why Ohio?" campaign targets top executives nationwide and promotes Ohio's new, improved business climate including a reform of Ohio taxes.

Created by Columbus, Ohio-based Paul Werth Associates, the ads feature Ohio-based companies and executives showcasing the benefits of doing business in Ohio. "From localized community projects to large-scale endeavors, activities for the advancement of economic development have an enormous impact on the shoring up of the nation's economy," said Joseph A. Marinucci, IEDC chairman. "The award serves as a most respectful 'hats off' to economic development organizations like the Ohio Business Development Coalition for leading the charge."
