OpenSpan Webinar to Highlight the Benefits of the New Enterprise Desktop in the Government Sector

Webinar Highlights How Government Organizations Are Using the OpenSpan Platform to Integrate Applications and Automate Processes

ATLANTA, GA--(Marketwire - June 5, 2007) - OpenSpan, Inc., the enabler of the New Enterprise Desktop, today announced that it will demonstrate the benefits of the OpenSpan Platform at the June 8 Webinar, "The New Enterprise Desktop in Government." The Webinar will showcase how government organizations can more quickly and easily integrate applications, automate processes, extend functionality of existing applications and build new composite applications or dashboards to improve overall productivity.

The Webinar will feature a live demonstration of the OpenSpan Platform and specific use cases of the technology in the government sector. Chad Wagner, chief architect of CompSec, Inc., will join Tim Bertrand, senior regional director, OpenSpan, to discuss how the OpenSpan Platform is being utilized by government organizations. The Webinar will highlight the following use cases:

-- Rapid integration and workflow prototyping, as well as modeling and
    simulation exercises between previously disparate systems;
--  Automation of currently manual time and business processes;
-- Adding compliance functionality to legacy systems that would otherwise
    have to be ripped and replaced;
-- Bringing service-oriented architecture (SOA) to the end user, at the
    edge -- the "last mile of SOA"; and
-- Rapid integration and consumption of Net-Centric data and services
    into existing (or new) composite dashboards.
