Optimal Geomatics Ranks 50th in Profit 100 List; the 18th Annual PROFIT 100 Ranking of Canada's Fastest-Growing Companies List

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - June 6, 2006) - Optimal Geomatics Inc. (TSX VENTURE:OPG) ("Optimal"), a geomatics service and software provider to the power line and pipeline utility sector, is pleased to announce that it has been ranked #50 in the 18th annual PROFIT 100 ranking of Canada's Fastest-Growing Companies list announced on Monday, June 5, 2006.

The PROFIT 100 profiles Canada's most successful high-growth companies based upon a five-year revenue growth model. Optimal achieved a 1,146% growth over the five year period commencing in 2000. Results of PROFIT's authoritative ranking have been published in the June issue of PROFIT and are also available online at www.PROFITguide.com. PROFIT 100 is Canada's largest annual celebration of entrepreneurial achievement.
