Ottawa's Local Heroes Bar & Grill Joins Senators Line-up at Scotiabank Place

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Sept. 26, 2007) - The Ottawa Senators announced today that Ottawa's Local Heroes Bar & Grill Restaurants will join the impressive lineup of food, drink and entertainment options at Scotiabank Place with the opening of Local Heroes Hockey Country Lodge.

The multi-year partnership between Local Heroes, the Senators and Aramark will see the complete renovation of the restaurant formerly known as the Silver Seven Brew House located just above Gate 2 on the 200 level, between sections 220 and 224.

"Mark Kosmos not only offers great food and service at his Local Heroes restaurants, but he's also committed to doing business in our community," said Senators president and CEO Roy Mlakar. "It's a pleasure to welcome Mark's great lineup of quality menu items to Scotiabank Place's dining options.

"A recent fan survey told us that the complete experience of 'dining at the game' is of great value to our fans," added Mlakar. "With Local Heroes at Scotiabank Place, as well as our other restaurants, we'll be offering excellent locally recognized brands with the convenience of making a reservation to ensure your seat."

"My partners and I are very excited about this new relationship between Local Heroes the Ottawa Senators Hockey Club and Scotiabank Place," said Mark Kosmos. "This partnership provides Local Heroes with an excellent opportunity to build our brand within Scotiabank Place, and at the same time it enables us to stay focused on our community involvement through our Senators dinner-and-game packages available at all of our locations."

Renovated with all the trimmings of a rustic hunting lodge, the Local Heroes Hockey Country Lodge will be open for all Senators home games starting a 5 p.m. and will accept reservations (613-599-2582). The menu will be prepared along with Aramark, Scotiabank Place food services specialists. It will feature favourites from Local Heroes, including its famous chicken wings, the Bonanza Sandwich, Smoked Meat Sandwich and more.

Features of the lodge include capacity of 336, a 102-inch high-definition projection screen, 12 large screen televisions and live music before games. Also, in keeping with Local Heroes' tradition and the Hockey Country theme, the lodge is decorated with photos featuring NHL players from Ottawa, Gatineau and the Ottawa Valley.

The five Local Heroes locations around Ottawa have become the Official Sports Bar of the Ottawa Senators, featuring Sens TV per-pay-view games this season as well as ticket packages available for their patrons.
