Pano Logic Expands Leadership With James Buzzard Appointment to VP, Product Marketing

MENLO PARK, CA--(Marketwire - May 6, 2010) -  Pano Logic, the leader in zero client desktop virtualization (VDI), today announced its leadership ranks now include veteran technology marketing executive James Buzzard as Vice President, Product Marketing. Buzzard is the newest addition to the leadership team charged with propelling Pano Logic onto high-growth international and enterprise desktop virtualization markets where the company already has begun to play a significant role. A former global marketing manager for IBM Corp. with startup experience as well, Buzzard has been managing various aspects of marketing for Pano Logic in an interim role since early 2009.

"James brought the skills and acuity we needed to guide and sharpen our engagement strategy during a time of tremendous sales growth and we're thrilled he's become a permanent member of our executive team," said John Kish, CEO of Pano Logic. "James is a veteran technology executive with a successful track record of penetrating new markets with innovative technology. His experience will help accelerate the rapid adoption of our zero client desktop virtualization platform worldwide."

Pano Logic's purpose-built solution for virtual desktops has enabled hundreds of organizations worldwide to realize dramatic savings in TCO of as much as 80 percent by radically centralizing compute power to the data center, enabling simple deployment and management of end user computing. Unlike any other VDI or thin client vendor, Pano Logic centralizes 100% of end user computing power onto the virtualized server. There is no processor, no operating system, no memory, no drivers, no software and no moving parts in the zero client Pano Device -- resulting in absolutely zero endpoint management. The unique, all-in-one solution allows IT managers to easily tap into their existing virtualization infrastructure to deliver end user computing, slashing equipment, maintenance and support costs while delivering a powerful and familiar Windows PC experience for knowledge workers and task workers. In addition, the zero client Pano Device uses 97 percent less energy than a PC, resulting in dramatic reductions in energy costs.

Buzzard has held a number of executive and leadership posts at IBM, BBN Software, Domain Pharma Corp. and Pharsight Corp. Prior to joining Pano Logic, Buzzard spent six years at IBM, managing marketing and solution portfolios for their worldwide health care, pharmaceuticals and life sciences division. During his tenure as an IBM global marketing head, Buzzard helped significantly expand IBM's worldwide market share of key hardware, software and services offerings for regulated and medical content/data management systems. Throughout his career, he has held a number of executive titles including CTO and General Manager along with managing product marketing, management and engineering groups.

"The more conversations I had with customers, channel partners and prospects, the more I became convinced that Pano Logic's technology is the only solution available that can finally free IT from the growing cost and complexity of managing Windows desktops," said Buzzard. "By centralizing all desktop computing into the data center and eliminating all endpoint management, Pano Logic has revolutionized what is possible with desktop computing. As a longtime technology marketer, I'm excited to be a part of Pano Logic's leadership team and look forward to significant growth and development in the months and years to come."
