Pantera Petroleum Announces Senior Geologist Joins Advisory Board

AUSTIN, TEXAS--(Marketwire - Jan. 22, 2008) - Pantera Petroleum, Inc. (OTCBB:PTPE) is pleased to announce the addition of Jim David to its Board of Advisors.

About Jim David:

Mr. David brings more than 44 years of geological evaluation experience with major multi-national oil exploration companies to Pantera Petroleum. In his long and successful career, Mr. David has vast experience in supervising geological, land, and engineering staffs, preparing drilling budgets, and evaluating prospect and property acquisitions in a wide variety of producing areas, including the U.S. Gulf Coast, Alaska, Mid-continent, and the Appalachian Basin.

Mr. David began his career in 1964 working for Mobil Oil as an Exploration and Development Geologist, generating prospects and drilling locations in producing fields in the U.S. Gulf Coast and Alaska for over a decade. Beginning in 1975, Mr. David served as Alaska Chief Geologist and Senior Staff Geologist for Texas International and then Exploration Manager for Reserve Oil, Inc., Northern Division before founding Alexander Energy Corporation in 1980. Mr. David led Alexander Energy's growth until its merger in 1996 with National Energy Group, Inc., where Mr. David became a Director and Vice President, Exploration and Development, serving until 2001.

Mr. David is currently Vice President, Development and Exploration, and Director for Bridge Energy where he is responsible for geological evaluation of all potential reserve acquisitions, as well as recommendations as to all proposed drilling locations and supervision of all geological work.

Mr. David graduated with a BA in Geology from Louisiana Tech University and earned his MA in Geology from the University of Missouri in 1964. Mr. David is an AAPG Certified Professional Geologist.
