Paragon Announces Resignation of Board Member

KELOWNA, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Sept. 28, 2007) - Paragon Pharmacies Limited ("Paragon" or the "Corporation") (TSX VENTURE:PGN) today announces the resignation of Mr. Charles Burgess from Paragon's Board of Directors.

This resignation is effective immediately to allow Mr. Burgess to focus more fully on the business of Catalyst Healthcare Ltd., a private company of which Mr. Burgess is a director. Catalyst Healthcare Ltd. was originally created in 2005 by Paragon as a separate healthcare technology company providing IT solutions to the long term care industry in Canada.

Craig Cameron, President and Chief Executive Officer of Paragon commented, "We thank Mr. Burgess for his time and effort as a Paragon Board member. Charles served as our Chair during a critical stage of our development and growth."

The Paragon Board members are reviewing candidates to replace Mr. Burgess and will make an announcement once an individual is nominated.

Paragon is headquartered in Kelowna, British Columbia and currently employs over 400 full and part time staff in its stores and offices. The Corporation owns and operates 17.5 retail pharmacies and 2 home healthcare stores in British Columbia, Alberta and Manitoba. Paragon also holds a minority ownership position in Catalyst Healthcare Ltd.
