Park Cities Obedience School Reunites Sextuplets for "Boot Camp" Training Program

Unusual Class of Siblings Impresses the Training Experts, Ready to Graduate

DALLAS, TX--(Marketwire - April 24, 2008) - It isn't everyday that a school graduates a class of sextuplets. In fact, this is a first for Park Cities Obedience School (www.parkcitiesobedienceschool.com), which has been training dogs for Dallas families since 1985.

Reuniting the 3-month-old Labrador Retriever puppies was the brainchild of Marina Bradley, a local breeder who wanted to make sure the six families who brought the dogs into their homes had the best possible experience. The four females and two males -- Cormac, Carmel's Sandy, Darby, Lucy, Mattie and Scout -- began the intensive 2-week Board and Train Program at Park Cities Obedience School on April 14th.

The in-kennel "boot camp" was created for owners who do not have the time, energy or desire to train their own dog in a group dog training class or private dog training lessons. Dogs stay overnight and during the day they participate in a training regimen administered by each of Park Cities Obedience School's animal behavior experts.

"Our training emphasizes quiet commands, showing the dog what is expected and then quickly rewarding a correct response with touch and affection," said Phil Marr, owner of Park Cities Obedience School, who has been training dogs for nearly 40 years. "It has been so much fun to see each of the sextuplets learn new positive habits. We'll miss them when they graduate and return home."

Park Cities Obedience School's Board and Train Program teaches dogs basic and helpful obedience commands, such as sit, down, stay and come when called. They also learn not to jump on people or run out open doors, to be attentive to their name, and to walk on a loose leash.

Additionally, Park Cities Obedience School offers comprehensive dog training and dog care services, including private and group dog training classes, overnight dog boarding with day care privileges and doggie day care to keep dogs active and happy during the day.
