PatientFlow Technology Executives Present Methodologies for Improving Patient Flow at Managing Today's OR Suite

Christina Dempsey and Kathleen Fuda Discuss Success Factors for Boosting Hospital & Surgeon Revenue, Decreasing Costs & Improving Quality of Care

BOSTON, MA--(Marketwire - October 1, 2007) - PatientFlow Technology (www.patientflowtech.com), the leading provider of patient flow management tools and services for hospitals, today announced that Christina Dempsey, BSN, MBA, CNOR and Kathleen Fuda, Ph.D., will present "Building a Business Case for Improved Patient Flow," at the Managing Today's OR Suite conference on Wednesday, October 3 as part of the pre-conference seminar series.

This seminar will guide participants in flow improvement methodologies, effective data management, and strategic planning to involve hospital and physician leadership. In building the business case for smoothing patient flow, the presenters will demonstrate how a hospital can increase revenues, reduce costs, and improve quality of care and patient satisfaction.

"Improving patient flow in perioperative services and throughout the hospital is a goal for all organizations in today's healthcare climate," say Dempsey and Fuda. "One step toward success is changing the OR schedule. However, it is a difficult process and sometimes a hard sell to surgeons, anesthesia personnel and hospital leadership. A critical success factor in achieving the goal is to ensure that those in the OR, surgeons, anesthesiologists and nurses, actively participate and buy into the new methods."
