Peace Arch Entertainment Engages Showtime Networks Veteran Larry Greenberg as Senior Vice President of Acquisitions

Greenberg to Aggressively Acquire Projects for Release Through Company's Various North American Media Channels

TORONTO--(Marketwire - October 5, 2007) - Peace Arch Entertainment Group Inc. (AMEX: PAE) (TSX: PAE), an integrated global entertainment company creating critically acclaimed television, film and DVD content for worldwide distribution, announced today that longtime Showtime acquisitions executive Larry Greenberg has joined Peace Arch as Senior Vice President, Acquisitions. Peace Arch continues to strengthen its industry-leading management team to support the Company's unprecedented period of growth.

Mr. Greenberg will accelerate the commercialization of Peace Arch's growing film and television library. The Company's library, one of the largest independent feature film libraries in the world, provides consistent cash flow and earnings quarter by quarter. The ownership of a significant library allows Peace Arch to move quickly to capitalize on both traditional media and breakthrough technologies that create potential new high-growth markets, such as internet video-on-demand or mobile entertainment devices.

Mr. Greenberg will report to Berry Meyerowitz, President of Peace Arch Home Entertainment. He will be based out of the Company's office in Los Angeles.

"Larry's mandate is to aggressively acquire projects for release through all relevant North American media channels, including titles for our new theatrical releasing arm and our rapidly growing North American home entertainment division," said John Flock, President and Chief Operating Officer of Peace Arch Entertainment. "His depth of experience in acquiring films for Showtime makes Larry an ideal fit for the company as we continue to expand our direct distribution pipeline and augment the Peace Arch library."

Mr. Greenberg joined Showtime Networks in 1995 as a Film Evaluator. Rising through the ranks, he was promoted to Vice President, Acquisitions in 2004, where he was responsible for all program acquisitions (including On-Demand and digital platforms) outside the network's Original Productions and Studio output deals. Among the hundreds of titles he acquired for the network were the world premieres of Adrian Lyne's "Lolita," Henry Bean's "The Believer," and Allison Anders' Emmy-nominated "Things Behind The Sun."

Mr. Greenberg was also instrumental in starting such specialty programming at the network as "Showtime Exposure" (for documentaries) and "Laugh Out Loud" (for Stand-Up comedy specials). Before Showtime, he spent five years as Story Editor for writer/producer Jim Kouf's Disney-based production company. Among the projects developed were "Con Air," "Another Stakeout," and "Kalifornia."
