Perfect Wedding Guide Announces Winner of "Fantasy Wedding" Contest

Kansas Middle School Teacher Now Planning a Wedding of a Lifetime

ATLANTA, GA--(Marketwire - January 5, 2010) - Christmas arrived early for one lucky couple in America's heartland. On December 18, Jaclyn Binder of Gardner, KS, was announced the winner of Perfect Wedding Guide's $100,000 Fantasy Wedding Giveaway, a national promotion providing an all-expense paid 2010 wedding ceremony and reception in Las Vegas, complete with wedding fashion, jewelry, a custom wedding cake, wedding photography and more.

The contest received over 5,000 applicants from across the country, from which the eighth-grade middle school teacher was chosen. After being contacted as a finalist, Binder wrote a personal essay sharing her financial hardships with wedding planning and why she and her fiancé deserved the prize. Binder was surprised with the news of her winning while at work on the last teacher in-service day before the holiday season.

"My co-workers have pranked me in the past, so I really thought it was a joke. They had all been in on the surprise for a week. It still hasn't sunk in. We feel so blessed with such a wonderful opportunity. We can now save up for a down payment on a house."

For many couples, planning a wedding in today's economic climate can be a challenge, where everything considered "fantasy" is anything but a reality.

"The promotion was designed to benefit a couple by providing them with virtually every amenity necessary while alleviating their financial burden," says Leon Iunco, owner of Emerald at Queensridge in Las Vegas, the venue where the wedding will take place. "We are delighted that the winner is an educator and are excited to meet the couple and begin planning their fantasy wedding."

Perfect Wedding Guide will continue to follow the lucky couple along their wedding-planning journey, reporting on wedding details via and social networks such as Twitter, Facebook, and the Perfect Wedding Guide's Wedding Blog.

"It's not every day that you can take part in something as life changing as this," says Perfect Wedding Guide president Tammy Elliot. "We are thrilled to offer this wonderful opportunity to such a deserving couple. And we want to share her exciting story with the world."

Binder, whose original wedding date was set for June 2010, says she doesn't mind having to "re-plan" her big day.

"I thought I was ahead of the game," says Binder. "We had planned a local wedding and reception here in Kansas City and had already put down deposits with wedding vendors -- but what a wonderful problem to have. I loved planning my wedding and can't wait to do it all over again."
