Pershimco Completes Preliminary Review of the Courville Gold Project

ROUYN-NORANDA, CANADA--(CCNMatthews - Jan. 18, 2007) - Pershimco Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE:PRO) is pleased to present results from the preliminary geological review completed by the Company on its Courville Gold Property.

Highlights of the preliminary geological review:

(1) The Thibodeau Intrusive Complex or TIC (Granodiorites, Diorites) hosts the bulk of the known gold mineralization at Courville;

(2) The TIC rocks appear very similar in appearance and composition to those that host gold deposits in the Val-d'Or and Malartic Mining Camps, located 60 to 85 kilometers SW of the Courville Property, which historically produced more than 25 million gold ounces since the early 1930's along the Larder Lake-Cadillac Deformation Zone (MRNQ government files);

(3) Previous geological and geophysical work at Courville by Pershimco and previous vendors have shown that the TIC trends in a NW-SE direction, parallel to, and likely forming part of, the Courville segment of the eastern end of the Destor-Porcupine Deformation Zone, which at the western end, 300 kilometers to the west, hosts the 75 million gold ounce Timmins Mining Camp (MRN and OGS government files);

(4) The gold mineralization occurs mainly as a series of sub-horizontal quartz stockwork domains - five(5) for now - ranging from 2.5 to 7.5 meters each in width, within a 125 meter long by 75 meter wide by 75 meter deep segment of the TIC;

(5) Gold assay results (2,000 assays) from the entire TIC sampled to date ranged from trace to 166 g/t gold averaging of 1.09 g/t gold, with 6 samples over 30 g/t gold;

(6) Preliminary block modeling shows four(4) separate centers of gold concentrations between 2 and 5 g/t gold within the quartz stockwork domains;

(7) Preliminary grade modeling indicates that 47% of the rock volume from the 125 meter long by 75 meter wide by 75 meter deep segment of the TIC consists of grades under 1 g/t gold; 27% consists of grades between 1 and 2 g/t gold; 15% consists of grades between 2 and 2.5 g/t gold; and 10% consists of grade over 2.5 g/t gold;

(8) Silver grades are generally 4 times higher than the gold grades.

Mr. Jean Lafleur, P. Geo., Director of, and Technical Advisor to, Pershimco, stated: " (...) in reviewing the Pershimco data base of the Courville Gold Property, we realized that the amount of drilling, its coverage, the lithological information, and the reproduceable gold and silver assays already gave an indication that we may already have sufficient information to produce a geological resource estimate and criteria by which to pursue our future exploration and estimate the full gold and silver potential of the Thibodeau Intrusive Complex (...)."

Pershimco has commissioned Mr. Alex Horvath of A.S. Horvath Engineering Services to produce an independent resource estimate for the Courville Gold Property that will be outlined in a National Instrument (NI) 43-101 Technical Report. The report will also outline the recommended exploration program to test the full extent of the gold mineralization along the 3 kilometer long TIC, all in the effort to produce mineral resources of the highest quality within the short term. The Technical Report is expected to be completed by the end of the first quarter of 2007.

Mr. Jean Lafleur, P. Geo., will be the Company's Qualified Person within the meaning of National Instrument 43-101 overseeing the Courville Gold Property work.
