Pet Ecology Brands, Inc. Continues to Penetrate the Pet Speciality Market With Initial Orders From Superpetz and Central Pet

Orders Total: 800 Bags of Scientific Cat Litter

DALLAS, TX -- (MARKET WIRE) -- August 2, 2006 -- Pet Ecology Brands Inc. (PINKSHEETS: PECB) -- www.petecology.com -- announced today that it has received initial orders from large chain retailers and distributors in the United States in furtherance of its goal to penetrate both the large retailer segment of the pet industry, along with the position it has already established in the smaller retailer segment of the market.

Central Pet - The Company has received its first orders from two of the six Central Pet regional warehouse facilities… Central Pet - NJ and Central Pet - FL. Their opening orders for six pallets of Scientific Professional cat litter w/Sickness Indicator is in support of their client, Superpetz Pet stores. Central Pet is one of the largest national pet supply distributors with six regional warehouse facilities strategically located throughout the United States. The company services 41 of 50 states with more than 40,000 products from 400 pet supply and pet food manufacturers. Pet Ecology is presently in the process of meeting the heads of the other four regions of Central Pet, and is hopeful of expanding the distribution of its products to the entire Central Pet distribution system in the near future.

Superpetz, with headquarters in Hatfield, PA, has agreed to include Scientific Professional Cat Litter w/Sickness Indicator in their cat litter planogram. Superpetz opened their first store in Dayton, Ohio in 1991. Since then they have grown into a 31-store chain that does business in eleven states. The company has stores in Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Alabama, and anticipates further expansion in the near future.
