Petrolia Inc.: Reassessment of the Petroleum Potential of the Central Gaspe Region

RIMOUSKI, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Nov. 27, 2007) - Results from recent geochemical studies carried out by Petrolia (TSX VENTURE:PEA) on its central Gaspe properties demonstrate the presence of favourable source rocks for the generation of oil and gas. These studies have also shown the presence of reservoir rocks who could contain significant quantities of hydrocarbons. Interpretation of the latest seismic profiles has identified new and highly promising avenues for exploration.

Petrolia thus has every good reason to continue its exploration activities in the most prospective areas of its Gaspe properties, Edgar and Marcel Tremblay. Encouraged by these new results, the Company intends to acquire industry partners who can provide support for its exploration efforts. Petrolia will therefore be attending Quebec Exploration 2007 at the Chateau Frontenac, on 27, 28, and 29 November. Besides a booth where its representatives will be available to answer questions from participants, on Wednesday afternoon in the Governor's Suite Petrolia will present the results of its work on these properties, for an audience of petroleum-industry experts.

Petrolia's presentation will include the interpretation of 129 kilometres of new seismic lines, acquired in late 2006 and processed in early 2007 at a cost of a million dollars, and result of the studies of the geochemistry and geology. The interpretation of the seismic profiles explains the distribution of the geologic formations at depth, and the geochemistry shows that a vast area of the properties is favourable for the accumulation of oil and gas. The presence of black shales rich in organic matter has also been demonstrated. This rock type is essential for the formation of hydrocarbons. The geologic setting of these properties is also very favourable as regards the existence of reservoir rocks. The presence on Petrolia's leases of porous rocks up to several hundred metres thick constitutes a key element for the exploration of hydrocarbons in the Gaspe region. These rocks - hydrothermal dolomites and porous sandstones - have the capacity to store major quantities of hydrocarbons.

The next step in the exploration program on these properties will be the acquisition of detailed 2-D seismic profiles aimed at improving the definition of exploration targets. A seismic campaign for this purpose is scheduled for early summer 2008. Note that Petrolia owns 100% of the production rights on the 547,079 acres of these central-Gaspe properties.

Please also note that admission to Quebec Exploration will be free on Thursday afternoon. We look forward to meeting you there.
