Pixim Orca Chipset Chosen as Core Technology for Five New Surveillance Cameras From deView electronics

deView electronics Selects Pixim Chipsets With Ultra Wide Dynamic Range to Deliver Excellent Image Quality 24/7 for New Vandal Domes, Box and ATM Cameras

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- September 26, 2006 -- Pixim® Incorporated's Orca Chipset, known for delivering wide dynamic range, excellent color rendition and image quality, in any lighting conditions 24/7, is integrated into five new camera offerings from deView electronics, to be debuted at ASIS in San Diego, September 25-27.

Pixim's Orca Chipset, the only all digital image capture solution, is a pivotal technology component that enables deView's new Color Vandal Dome, True Day/Night Vandal Dome, Color Box Camera, Day/Night Box Camera and ATM Camera Module offerings.

Pixim's patented Digital Pixel System® (DPS) technology converts light to a digital signal directly at the point of capture in the image sensor, enabling each pixel to have independent, optimized exposure times to deliver the highest image quality.

deView is know as a premium brand with in-house expertise in the design, engineering and manufacturing of imaging products such as performance cameras and LCD monitors for closed circuit television applications. deView's history and success in analog technologies provides them with the perspective to deliver well designed and executed digital products to the marketplace.

"deView is proud to provide the Individual Pixel Sensing (IPS) family of Orca chipset enabled security cameras," comments Michael Sheehan, President of deView. "It is the mission of every deView employee to make the world a safer place through our advanced imaging technologies which makes Pixim a natural fit for us. The integration of Pixim into our 'ISP' camera line insures the latest technology is available from deView to all of our installing partners."

deView's Pixim-enabled cameras will be introduced in five camera models, each serving different applications. The first the two models are traditional fixed style cameras that meet the demands of High Resolution Color as well as True Day/Night requirements. The next two models will be available in a Vandal Resistant Dome where the Pixim technology will be encased in high impact polycarbonate reinforced housings accompanied by a 3-axis gimbal mount. The Vandal Resistant cameras will also be offered to the market in both High Resolution Color and True Day/Night versions. The fifth product is a specially designed and fabricated camera module for the specific use of Pixim technology in ATM machines.
