Planet Resource Recovery, Inc. Completes Research Study on Precious Metals' Concentrates -- Validates New Technology That Separates Hard to Extract Precious Metals

New Mining Technology Industrial Unit Currently Being Designed for Construction to Be Deployed Early Part of Q4 2010

HOUSTON, TX--(Marketwire - August 17, 2010) - Planet Resource Recovery, Inc (PINKSHEETS: PRRY) is pleased to announce that the company has completed its research study of extraction and separation of precious metals from ore concentrates. Laboratory research and development has validated Planet's new mining technology as a viable method for the extraction and separation of targeted metal species that to date other technologies have been unable to extract. Based on the positive laboratory research results, Planet has commenced the system design, drawings, component specifications and materials procurement for construction of an industrial unit. The Company anticipates deployment of its first industrial unit at the early part of Q4 2010.

Planet's scientific staff developed a new proof of concept consisting of a multiple step process using current state-of-the-art mining technologies and the development of new techniques. The basic philosophy of Planet's approach is the recovery of all targeted species of metals, rendering revenue streams through the removal of metals and non-metals that are in the greatest concentrations of the target metals. Planet's Electro-winning process coupled with a Micro-Processor Control System -- proprietary processes developed by Planet to balance the chemistries and temperatures for the extraction and separation of the targeted precious metals. The Company has retained a process engineer specifically for this project that will administer and oversee the construction of the Industrial unit.

Planet scientific staff is currently assembling all research data results for the compilation of abstract for the submittal for Patent Protection.
