Bersin & Associates Recognizes Plateau as a Customer Satisfaction Leader

In its comprehensive report, "Talent Management Systems Customer Satisfaction 2010," released this week, Bersin & Associates reveals that "talent management systems have become one of the fastest growing areas of HR software," and projects that growth will continue in 2010, at a rate of nearly 22 percent. According to the report, "As this market has grown, so has the emergence of the SaaS delivery model, which has given solution providers and buyers a new approach to buying software. Now HR and IT managers can purchase software "as needed" without the need to install, configure and customize software internally. SaaS vendors, in exchange, typically take on larger responsibilities to continuously add new features, provide data integration tools, maintain high levels of performance and services, and deliver high degrees of customization and reporting. With dozens of talent management solutions in the market, Bersin & Associates' "Talent Management Systems Customer Satisfaction 2010" research was developed with the goal of making the solution selection process easier for HR and IT buyers by identifying customer satisfaction leaders by market segment across several categories. The research found that "successful talent management vendors share three common strengths -- a strong focus on product management, a clear view of their target markets and an end-to-end view of their customers' needs." Bersin & Associates' findings revealed that customers are most satisfied with "functional depth" in their talent management solutions and that "the most successful implementations take place when the vendor itself has experienced, seasoned, well-trained implementation consulting teams." The report also revealed that "vendors with higher levels of customer satisfaction are healthier companies financially" and that "all the fast-growing vendors have customer satisfaction rates above the average." In line with this finding, Plateau announced earlier this year that the company had achieved record results for the first half of its fiscal 2009, and was outperforming the growth of the global talent management market, with annualized bookings increasing more than 200 percent across its performance management, career and succession planning and compensation management product lines.
