Plex Systems Hosts Event Benefiting Cystic Fibrosis Foundation

Raffle, Silent Auction and Wine Tasting Event November 12th

AUBURN HILLS, MI--(Marketwire - October 22, 2009) - Plex Systems, Inc., provider of the No. 1 rated ERP software for manufacturers, today announced it is hosting a wine tasting and auction fundraiser to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation on Thursday, November 12, 2009 at Canterbury Castle, 2325 Joslyn Court in Lake Orion.

The event is hosted by Plex Systems President Mark Symonds and presented by Dean Rondy, sommelier and owner of Oxford Wine and Beverage. It will also feature guest speaker Mark Levine, a Cystic Fibrosis Foundation volunteer. This event is one of several held by Plex to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, its chosen nonprofit partner for 2009.

The Foundation, established in 1955, works to assure the development of the means to cure and control cystic fibrosis and improve the quality of life for those living with the disease. In the 1950s few children with Cystic Fibrosis lived to attend elementary school. Today, the average life expectancy for someone with CF has been extended by more than 35 years.

The wine tasting will feature six wines and a strolling supper. The event also includes a 50/50 raffle and silent auction and begins at 6:00 p.m. The event is open to the public. To register please visit

"Thanks to the continued Foundation-supported research and specialized care, an increasing number of people with cystic fibrosis are living into adulthood and leading healthier lives," said Mark Symonds, president and CEO of Plex Systems. "The Plex family is proud to contribute to this important organization that is making people's lives better in our neighborhoods, across Michigan and around the world."

The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is one of two charity partners Plex Systems has supported with various efforts this year. Plex employees select the charities their company will support each year, and Plex supports employee efforts with a matching donation program. This year Plex employees have raised money for the Foundation through various activities such as bottle drives, pancake breakfasts and wine tastings.

Early registration tickets are $35 through November 1, and $45 after. Please call Heather Bielecki at 248-393-8881 for more information.
