Portrait Debuts as a Strong Performer in the Cross-Channel Campaign Management Space by Global Independent Research Firm

Portrait Software's Interaction Management, Data Management, and Analytical Platforms Compare Favorably With Those of Other Market Players

BOSTON, MA--(Marketwire - December 15, 2009) - Portrait Software, a leading provider of insight-driven customer interaction software, today announced that Forrester Research, a leading independent research firm, has named Portrait a 'Strong Performer' in its December 2009 inaugural Forrester™ Wave: Cross-Channel Campaign Management Q4, 2009 research report.

Forrester evaluated 11 cross-channel campaign management vendors across 91 criteria and 18 categories. Forrester selected vendors based on their existing market presence, defined as annual revenues of more than $25 million or an installed base of more than 200 enterprise customers using multiple platform modules. According to the Forrester™ Wave, "Portrait Software has a strong heritage in analytical platforms and inbound interaction management."

Portrait's Customer Analytics contributed to its good score in analysis capabilities by going "beyond traditional Online Analytical Processing (OLAP) by providing detailed record-level data access allowing completely flexible on-the-fly data summarization, filtering, etc.," reports Forrester Analyst, Suresh Vittal.

Other solutions within the Portrait Suite also performed well against other vendors' products. In his evaluation, Vittal reports, "unlike competing solutions which are often entirely reliant upon "screen-scrape" for information, Portrait's Interaction Optimizer accesses information in any accessible database, without requiring duplication."
