Positive Results at Navasota's Koba Bauxite Project, Guinea

KAMLOOPS, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Nov. 6, 2007) - Navasota Resources Ltd. ("Navasota") (TSX VENTURE:NAV) is pleased to announce initial results from aircore drilling completed on the Koba (AMIG) Bauxite Project in the Boke Bauxite Belt, in north-western Guinea, West Africa. To date, results have been received for 81 drill holes from 3 plateaus in the south-eastern section of the property. These initial results represent approximately one third of the samples (1758 out of 5605) submitted for assay (see Tables 1 to 3). A total of 4865 metres of drilling in 246 drill holes tested 14 linked prospects in the southern part of the permits. Results for the remaining 165 holes are expected over the next four weeks. A location map will be posted at www.navasota.com shortly.

Madina Diang Plateau

Madina Diang is located in the south-eastern corner of the property and is the first in a series of plateaus extending to the north and northwest. Twenty-four holes covered the plateau at nominal 300m spacing. Table 1 shows that all but 2 holes intersected bauxite at a 35% Al2O3 cut-off grade and maximum 3 metres of internal dilution. In several holes, the bauxite zone is split into two intervals. The 26 intervals yield a weighted average grade of 42.71% Al2O3 and an average thickness of 6.19 metres.

Tito Plateau

Tito Plateau is a narrow east-trending plateau located immediately north of Madina Diang. Eighteen holes covered the plateau at nominal 300m spacing. Table 3 shows that all holes intersecting significant bauxite at a 35% Al2O3 cut-off grade and maximum 3 metres of internal dilution. In two holes, the bauxite zone is split into two intervals. The 14 intervals yield a weighted average grade of 40.23% Al2O3 and an average thickness of 5.57 metres.

Geology

The mineral exploration permits are situated in the "Boke bauxite belt" of north-western Guinea. The Boke bauxite belt hosts the world's largest and highest quality bauxite deposits with grades of 40% to 60% aluminum oxide. The permits are underlain by gabbro and aluminous dolerite and sedimentary rocks. Residual bauxites have been confirmed on the southern Telimele permit. Sedimentary or colluvial bauxites are thought to underlie parts of the northern Gaoual permit.

A typical profile at Koba consists of 0-1m of overburden, 4-10m of hard bauxite (high Al2O3 and Fe2O3), 4m of low grade transitional bauxite intercalated with clay, and 5m of soft bauxite (high Al2O3 and kaolin).

Phase 2 Drilling Commences

Drilling is set to resume at Koba within the next few days. A crew has arrived in Koba to prepare access to 6 additional plateaus. A total of 275 holes are planned on the Telimele permit for a total of 5500 metres. This phase will continue the program suspended in August due to the onset of heavy seasonal rains. To the north, on the Gaoual permit, another 105 holes totalling 2100 metres are planned on two plateaus.

Drilling and Sampling Procedures

The first phase aircore drilling program consisted of holes spaced at 300 to 600 metres over plateaus identified by a spectral and topographic analysis of Aster satellite imagery. Targets were ranked based on interpreted geomorphology, with residual bauxite plateaus ranking highest. Drilling consisted of shallow holes averaging 19.8 metres, with samples collected at 1-metre intervals down hole and logged for lithology and pedology.

All sampling was supervised by geologists from RSG Global Consulting. Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) protocols include the insertion of field duplicates and standard samples every 20 samples. Samples were trucked to SGS-Siguiri for sample preparation and shipped to SGS-Canada for analysis for major oxides, including alumina (Al2O3), by XRF methods. Samples were weighed and dried and split to 1.2kg subsamples. Each subsample was pulverized to 90% passing 75 micron size. An analytical pulp of 75g was split for analysis.

General Information

Navasota has the right to earn a 100% interest in the AMIG permits, which cover 1,064 square kilometres in the prefectures of Telimele and Gaoual. The permit area is located in a "very good neighbourhood" being directly surrounded by several of the world's major bauxite miners. Three refineries have been proposed for construction in the Boke belt in the next five years, all of which would be within close proximity to the AMIG permit area. As well, an existing railway line is located approximately 16km from the site. This line is apparently commercially available and runs an additional 135km to the port of Kamsar.

RSG Global Consulting of Perth, Australia, a subsidiary of Coffey Mining, is managing the program on behalf of Navasota. The drilling contractor is West African Drilling Services ("WADS"). Christopher J. Wild, P.Eng, President and CEO of Navasota Resources Ltd., is Navasota's Qualified Person as described in Canadian National Instrument 43-101.
