Principal Capital Group, Inc. Launches Proprietary Trading Floor

BEVERLY HILLS, CA--(Marketwire - December 2, 2008) - Management of Principal Capital Group, Inc. (OTCBB: PCGI) announced today the formal launch of its proprietary trading floor in its Orange County, California, office. The floor consists of a six person trading desk, utilizing the most cutting edge research and technology available to professional traders in today's volatile markets. The floor has taken PCGI over half a year to design with a full quarter of trading and back-testing to support its equity roll-out trading strategy.

Clara Yang, MBA, Principal Capital Group Associate Trader, stated, "I have been trading stocks and commodities with a conservative, traditional approach for several years, while testing a broad array of option strategies before I joined Principal Capital Group. I am very honored to have been mentored by Michael Osborn, an extremely accomplished, seasoned trader, who has taught me how to get back to the basics of trading and allocate our trading capital according to daily market changes. I believe our combined strategies will not only 'weather the storm,' but excel in today's volatile markets."

"Our trading floor is comprised of investment professionals with a passion for being the best traders they can possibly be. Given the volatile nature of today's markets, we have realized that long term trading strategies are not the most effective way to trade our proprietary portfolio. Our proprietary trading model will enable us to timely navigate today's rough market conditions effectively and with less risk to achieve exceptional returns for our shareholders. We have gone back to the basics with our trading strategy and as the market continues to change, so will we continually evolve," stated Michael Osborn, CEO of Principal Capital Group, Inc.
