Printera Corporation: Second Quarter Results

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - May 12, 2005) - Printera Corporation (TSX:PAC) announced today its results for the fiscal quarter ended March 31, 2005.

Revenues for the quarter increased to $8.5 million compared to $8.0 million for the same period in 2004. Year to date revenues increased slightly to $15.5 million compared to $15.3 million in 2004. The Company's sales efforts have been focused on growing market share in the Canadian, USA, and Central American Beer markets.

EBITDA for the quarter was $0.7 million compared to $0.4 million in 2004. Year to date EBITDA was $1.1 million up from $0.9 million in 2004. Revenue growth and lower cost of sales and selling and administration expenses contributed to the improvement.

The Company incurred a net loss of $0.4 million for the quarter in line with prior year results The year to date net loss was $0.9 million compared to $0.4 million in 2004, due to the higher amortization and interest expenses in 2005 and income tax recoveries booked in 2004, but not in 2005.
