Procera Networks and Codium Networks Deploy Traffic and Service Management Solution for Pioneering Spanish WiMAX Provider

Vipfone, Largest Alternative Telco in Almeria, Southeastern Spain, Leverages Procera's PacketLogic Platform to Control Network Usage, Ensure Quality of Service

LOS GATOS, CA and MADRID, SPAIN--(Marketwire - June 11, 2007) - Procera® Networks, Inc. (OTCBB: PRNW), a pioneering developer of carrier-grade network traffic and service management infrastructure equipment, and Codium Networks, Southern Europe's leading independent integrator specializing in WiMAX-driven network solutions, today announced that Vipfone, Almeria's leading alternative telco/service provider, has deployed the Procera PacketLogic 5600 to manage bandwidth and services in a key installation.

Vipfone, a subsidiary of the Voz y Datos Group, is utilizing the PL5600 in its WiMAX deployment in the province of Almeria, located in southeastern Spain, which is a sparsely populated area with wide separations between cities and towns. Voz y Datos completed its first WiMAX deployment in the area in early 2006, bringing broadband wireless access to thousands of individuals, businesses and tourist resorts. The addition of the Procera PL5600 allows Vipfone to accurately identify and visualize network traffic via Deep Flow Inspection -- rather than inspecting only packets, the Procera product line views the entire connection or session, allowing more intelligent traffic and service management.

"As a provider of broadband wireless access, accurate identification and management of traffic and bandwidth is crucial," said Jesus Fernandez, CEO of Voz y Datos. "Through the PacketLogic product, we are able to ensure quality of service for mission- or business-critical network traffic, while still allowing access to popular applications such as peer-to-peer and file sharing."

"The elements included in the design of a WiMAX network must ensure very low latency, high scalability and high performance," said Kiriako Vergos, CEO of Codium Networks. "The Procera product line has met these challenges, and proved to be a great complement for any of our WiMAX installations across the Southern EMEA region."

The PacketLogic product family includes the PL5600, PL7600 and PL7620 models, which range from 4Mbps to 2 Gbps bidirectional throughput capacity. The modular software design includes Surveillance (standard in all PacketLogic systems), Filtering, Traffic Shaping, and Statistics options.

"Our partnership with Codium Networks, and their deployment to Vipfone, has illustrated the value and flexibility that the PacketLogic product line can bring to service providers," said Albert Lopez, vice president of worldwide marketing for Procera Networks. "As the Internet becomes increasingly congested, management of traffic and services will become ever more important for wired and wireless networks alike. PacketLogic was designed from the ground up to meet these challenges, and to help service providers maximize and monetize their networks."
