Procera Networks' PacketLogic Proved to Be Highly Accurate and Scalable in Testing by Well-Known Industry Validation Firm

PL7600 Traffic and Service Management Appliance, Featuring DRDL Deep Flow Inspection Technology, Proves Accuracy in Traffic Identification and Service Management, Scalability and Ease of Use

ALEXANDRIA, VA--(Marketwire - May 29, 2007) - At ISS World -- Procera® Networks, Inc. (OTCBB: PRNW), a pioneering developer of carrier-grade network traffic and service management infrastructure equipment, today announced that the company's PacketLogic 7600 appliance has received confirmation of its high accuracy in traffic identification, extremely low latency, ease of installation and ability to scale to accommodate changing network traffic loads. The Tolly Group, a well-known independent third-party testing and validation firm, has certified Procera's PacketLogic 7600 as Up to Spec.

The Procera product's traffic identification capabilities, which allow service providers and others to manage or restrict applications such as BitTorrent and file sharing, achieved 100 percent accuracy in identifying all 50 traffic types tested, even as traffic scaled from 0.2 to 1.6 Gbps. Further, the PL7600 generated less than 1 ms average latency across all throughput rates, with up to 20,000 traffic management rules enabled -- proving the system's high performance and ability to easily scale without introducing undue latency and network delays. And finally, Tolly Group engineers affirmed the system's ease of use and installation by documenting just four major steps needed for initial deployment in an existing network.

"We are very pleased by The Tolly Group's validation of the PacketLogic platform's robust scalability and pinpoint precision," said Sunil Dhar, director of product management for Procera Networks. "Our goal has always been to build the most accurate, scalable, and easy-to-use product in its class. Through The Tolly Group's testing and validation, service providers, higher education institutions, and others can be assured that the PL7600 will give them control over their networks without impacting throughput."

Over a one-month period, Tolly Group engineers tested the PL7600 in a wide variety of scenarios -- designed to duplicate real-life network traffic -- to measure the system's accuracy of traffic recognition, performance, scalability and ease of use and installation. While test tools and test conditions permitted The Tolly Group to validate up to 1.6 Gbps in bidirectional throughput, the PacketLogic 7600 offers up to 2 Gbps bidirectional throughput capacity, and includes more than 250 traffic identification signatures. The modular software design includes surveillance (standard in all PacketLogic systems), filtering, traffic shaping, and statistics options.

The PL7600 is typically deployed by broadband service providers to manage and control network and service usage and traffic, to provide tiered service levels and assure agreed-upon throughputs (SLAs), and to conform to the technical assistance requirements of lawful intercept regulations such as CALEA (Communications Assistance for Law Enforcement Act) in the U.S.
