Produce Safety & Security International, Inc. Appoints Hewlett-Packard Mission Critical Consultant as Chief Technology Officer

IRVING, TX--(Marketwire - January 7, 2008) - Produce Safety & Security International, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: PDSS) is pleased to announce that the Company has appointed Mr. John V. Workman, Jr. as Chief Technology Officer and Chief Information Officer. Mr. Workman is a certified Hewlett-Packard Non-Stop Mission Critical Consultant with 24 years of experience in the computer software industry.

Mr. Workman has worked as a consultant with many major companies, such as Dell Computers, CitiBank Merchant Services, NASDAQ stock market, Pepsi Food Systems, and AAA. Mr. Workman is implementing Produce Safety & Security's tracking and audit system for the ozone fumigation, which removes bacteria and viruses from shipping containers that cause food borne illnesses coming from imported products.

The Company has a cost effective tracking system that provides the food industry with the ability to track products from the time of packing and manufacturing until they arrive at the store loading docks. This process provides a complete audit trail for any governmental agency, and retail stores that provide fresh produce, seafood, meat, poultry, dairy, and deli. The tracking and auditing system will result in better store sanitation and a reduction of insurance claims.
