Proud to be a "Prude": Carol Platt Liebau Discusses Raising Wholesome Youth at Girl Scout Event

REDLANDS, CA--(Marketwire - August 8, 2008) - Meet nationally recognized author, Carol Platt Liebau, as she discusses her most recent book, "Prude: How the Sex Obsessed Culture Damages Girls (and America too!)" at the We Believe in Girls! Summit 2008, presented by Girl Scouts of San Gorgonio Council.

Listen to Carol discuss controversial topics regarding our sex obsessed culture. "Prude" is an in-depth look at the forces telling women that sexy trumps intelligence. Carol's message of how teen-oriented fashion and entertainment is sexualized is a wake-up call for those unaware of what is going on in today's society.

Carol, and speakers Parry Aftab, Cheryl Charles and Patricia Diaz Dennis, will talk to parents and educators about the dangers of girls giving too much, too soon. They will address issues and answer questions regarding issues such as cyber-bullying, provocative behavior, re-connecting children and nature and increased pressures girls today are faced with. Additionally, Carol will sign copies of "Prude."

We Believe in Girls! Summit 2008 will be held on Saturday, August 16 from 2-5:30 p.m. at the Ontario Convention Center, 2000 E. Convention Center Way, Ontario 91764.
