Public Service Announcement: Garrison Road Will Be Closed This Weekend Due To Army Training

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Dec. 1, 2009) - This weekend, 32 Canadian Brigade Group, the Army in the GTA will be conducting a military exercise to rehearse their domestic capabilities at Fort York armoury, located in downtown Toronto. As a result, the road beside the Armouries, called Garrison Road as well as Garrison Common Park will be closed to all except emergency vehicles from 8 a.m. Friday Dec. 4 to noon on Sunday Dec. 6.

During this time, passersby may see soldiers using rubber rifles while they practise security tasks at Fort York Armouries.

The 32nd Canadian Brigade Group is your local Army Reserve formation of some 2200 part-time soldiers headquartered in the GTA. The brigade includes units of infantry, artillery, reconnaissance, and engineers.
