Pugs In Duds for Pug Rescue

Pugalug Club launches it's pug dog rescue division at Pugoween 2005 Attention: Arts/Entertainment Editor, City Editor, Lifestyle Editor, Photo Editor TORONTO, ONTARTIO--(CCNMatthews - Oct. 16, 2005) - FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Toronto, ON, Oct 16 - If you were looking for something to do this Halloween with your pug, look no further. The Pugalug Club, a non-profit organization formed in January 2005 to ensure the continuance of Pugalugs as well as Pug Rescue in Southern Ontario, is here to help.

What IS a Pugalug, you ask? Pugalugs are monthly gatherings for both pugs and pug lovers alike, which take place in the GTA and Southern Ontario regions.

And how, you ask, can a Pugalug help me and my furry friend this Halloween?
The answer is the 2nd Annual Pugoween. The Pugoween is a spooky fundraiser for Pug Rescue, with proceeds going to cover veterinary bills.

The 2nd Annual Pugoween is taking place Sunday, October 23rd, from 2-4 pm, at the UrbanDog, 37 Parliament Street (south of Front Street) in the Distillery District.
Doors open at 2pm and admission is $5 a person. If you have a Pugalug membership admission is free. Family Memberships can be purchased for $25.

Whether you'd like to win a prize in our raffle (raffle tickets are $5 each or 3 for $10), have your pug's picture taken with Monster and the Haunted House (think Santa's lap, Halloween version) or watch your fellow pugs as they work the runway in the latest winter fashions (sponsored by My Pet Boutique, 94 Cumberland), there is something for everyone.

On top of all these great events, if your pug is in desperate need of a "Pug Pedicure", the Pugoween is the place to be! Colleen "the Dremmel Lady" of Muddy Paws (416-724-1637) will be available to perform Pug Pedicures.

The Pugoween is not only a fun, family event, but it's for a good cause. The Pugalug Club has established itself as a Pug Dog Rescue Organization and the Pugoween will be the official launch of the Pug Rescue Wing.
Rescued dogs require veterinarian attention. For example, Our recent rescue, Mr. Magoo, needs an operation to remove bladder stones. All of the money raised at the Pugoween will go towards paying for these costs. Mr. Magoo will be in attendance

This Halloween, come enjoy thrills and chills, Pug Style!
