Puma's Drilling Confirms a Silver-Rich Section at Nicolas-Denys

RIMOUSKI, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Feb. 16, 2010) - Exploration Puma (TSX VENTURE:PUM) has intersected 209 g/t Ag and 1.78 g/t Au over 1.60 metres on the Pine Tree prospect at its Nicolas-Denys property in New Brunswick. A major intersection more than 50 metres long was also intersected, with 1.5% Pb, 1.2% Zn, 36 g/t Ag, and 0.54 g/t Au.

Results from drilling and surface sampling (Release of 28-01-2010) have confirmed a promising high-grade section in Drillhole PT09-03, with values of 303 g/t Ag, 5.53 g/t Au, 11.6% Pb, and 8.4% Zn between the depths of 67.5 and 71.8 metres in the hole.

The main objective of the drilling campaign has been achieved: Puma has confirmed the presence of a silver-rich zone adjacent to a NW-SE fault, similar to those in the Shaft and Haché lenses.

The main zone extends over more than 200 metres horizontally and 100 metres vertically, with a thickness ranging from 3 to 10 metres. Two other parallel lenses were found, on either side of the main lens. This structural model is identical to the situation at the Haché and Shaft lenses two kilometres to the west, along the Rocky Brook-Millstream fault.

These drillholes are part of a major exploration initiative at the Nicholas-Denys Project, targeting high-grade silver sections in the Henry, Half Mile, Haché, Shaft, Pine Tree, and Great Northern lenses.

The samples were analyzed at the ALS Chemex laboratory in Val d'Or using the atomic absorption and ICP methods.
