QA Cafe Releases New SIP ALG Test Module for VoIP

PORTSMOUTH, NH -- (MARKET WIRE) -- July 6, 2005 -- Portsmouth-based QA Cafe, a leading provider of IP test solutions, today announced the release of CDRouter version 2.8, which supports SIP ALG (Application Level Gateway) testing for SIP aware routers. With this added functionality, the CDRouter test suite can now quickly detect potential interoperability problems between CPE routers and SIP clients as well as verify the maximum number of SIP outbound and inbound calls.

Along with the new release of CDRouter 2.8, QA Cafe is also offering a free white paper on testing SIP aware routers. The white paper is available at

According to QA Cafe, this new SIP ALG testing ability will allow router vendors in the VoIP space to bring high-quality products to market faster, more economically and with additional confidence in their readiness.

"This is a great new addition to our test suite spectrum," said Joe McEachern, Product Manager at QA Cafe. "Offering SIP ALG testing allows CDRouter to become the natural choice for router vendors in the VoIP market. Router vendors have been asking for this type of functionality."

The CDRouter test suite can be used to test wireless, cable, DSL and SOHO routers. More information about QA Cafe and CDRouter can be found at
