QCSI & Evolution Benefits Join Forces to Offer an Integrated Debit Card for Real-Time Consumer-Directed Healthcare Transactions

The integrated solution synchronizes account balances, contributions payments and debit card transactions through automated file transfers between Evolution Benefits and the Web-based MyHealthBank Finance software. It allows consumers to have instant point-of-sale access to their cash accounts by using a single Benny® benefits debit card and gives payors a powerful tool to compete in the growing consumer-directed healthcare market.

The combined MyHealthBank and Benny® solution simplifies the member's experience and reduces the administrative burden of managing Health Savings Accounts (HSAs), Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) and Health Reimbursement Accounts (HRAs). A member presents the Benny® benefits debit card at the point of service to make payment for an office visit or for a prescription at a pharmacy. The authorization request is submitted electronically through normal credit card authorization channels, and is either approved or denied based on specific card criteria. The Benny® benefits debit card is tied directly to all cash accounts, allowing its "stacking" capability to prioritize real-time payments from multiple accounts, such as HSAs and HRAs, based on the member's benefit plan. The MyHealthBank Finance software communicates with Evolution Benefits to update the Card with current balance information.
