Quebecor World Leads the International Color Consortium for Third Consecutive Year

MONTREAL, CANADA--(CCNMatthews - Jan. 31, 2007) - For the third consecutive year, Quebecor World (TSX:IQW)(NYSE:IQW) has been elected to lead the International Color Consortium's (ICC) 2007 Steering Committee. Quebecor World was the only printer to be elected to the Steering Committee of this international color standards group.

The ICC Steering Committee focuses on setting the direction of color standards. During their elected term, member companies work together to develop color standards that enable publishers, catalogers, direct mailers and retailers to improve their print quality and increase production efficiencies. The ICC Steering Committee also works closely with suppliers within the graphic arts industry to assist in the research, testing and development of both current and new technologies. Quebecor World participates in the Architecture, Digital Motion Picture, Digital Photography, Graphic Arts Special Interest, ICC Profile Assessment and Workflow working groups.

"Congratulations to Bob Hallam, Quebecor World's Director of Color Technology, for his hard work and dedication to developing and supporting the ICC profile format and the workflows required to use ICC profiles," commented William K. Smythe, ICC Secretary. "Bob's expertise and involvement with ICC Steering Committee, participation and leadership in the work of the ICC, has been essential in assuring that ICC-based profiles and workflows meet the real needs of the printing industry, also providing Quebecor World and its customers with advanced color technology and solutions."

"We are very proud of Bob Hallam and Quebecor World's Technology and Customer Solutions team, led by Jean-Francois Cuillerier, for ensuring that the company remains a leader in the color management industry," said Wes Lucas, President and Chief Executive Officer, Quebecor World Inc. "Their dedication to quality exemplifies Quebecor World's commitment to great execution, producing the most efficient, most dependable, and highest quality results, and the greatest return possible."

Mr. Hallam's most recent ICC project concerns paper classification, which began in the Graphic Art's Special Interest working group as a different way to characterize paper. Since paper companies typically sell paper based on its appearance, this initiative focuses on determining paper performance characteristics prior to running on a printing press. The IDEAlliance Print Predictability Paper Task Force soon emerged from this initiative, for which Mr. Hallam now serves as Vice Chair. The task force aims to supply paper buyers and printers with relevant paper performance data in advance to prevent waste, increase press up-time and produce better, more predictable printed product for their customers.

Quebecor World joins the following companies on the 2007 ICC Steering Committee: Fuji Photo Film, Hewlett Packard, Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG, X-Rite, Lexmark CPD, Color Savvy Systems, Inc., Onyx Graphics, Sun Chemical Corporation, Xerox, Canon Development Americas, Inc. and Lilliputian Pictures.

About ICC

The International Color Consortium was established in 1993 by eight industry vendors for the purpose of creating, promoting and encouraging the standardization and evolution of an open, vendor-neutral, cross-platform color management system architecture and components. The outcome of this co-operation was the development of the ICC profile specification. The ICC specification V4 is now widely used and is referred to in many international and other de-facto standards. It has recently been approved as an International Standard, ISO 15076.
