Queen's and ONESTOP launch Digital Safety Information Network

ONESTOP Media Group launches Canada's first campus-wide Digital Information Network at Queen's University

Tuesday Oct 30, 2007 - ONESTOP Media Group and Queen's University recently launched Canada's first campus-wide digital information network enabling the university to communicate news and emergency updates to students, staff and faculty on the move between classes and labs or while grabbing a coffee at the cafeteria. Using an across-campus network of 22 LCD strategically located screens, the Queen's Out-of-Home Digital Information Network provides both location specific and campus-wide information, keeping students and faculty up to date on departmental and campus-wide developments, upcoming campus events and national news. More than 80 staff members from 30 campus units help to update the network via a secure administration tool. Covering 16 high-traffic locations across campus, Queen's DIN is also the latest enhancement to the University's emergency response system.
