QuestAir to Supply PSA to Recover By-Product Hydrogen From Petrochemical Plant

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - Jan. 18, 2007) - QuestAir Technologies Inc. (TSX:QAR)(AIM:QAR) announced today that it has received an order valued at approximately CDN $0.7 million for a QuestAir H-3100 pressure swing adsorption ("PSA") system to recover waste hydrogen from a petrochemical plant in Odessa, Texas.

QuestAir's PSA will recover hydrogen from a by-product stream, producing purified hydrogen for re-use in the petrochemical plant. In addition, excess product hydrogen from the recovery process will be compressed for sale to third party 'merchant' customers.

The H-3100 will replace an existing 'conventional' PSA plant that has reached the end of its useful life. A leading industrial gas company will integrate QuestAir's PSA with compression and storage equipment at a facility adjacent to the petrochemical plant.

Jonathan Wilkinson, President and CEO of QuestAir said, "Demand for hydrogen is growing dramatically in the oil refining and petrochemical industries, and the recovery of waste hydrogen is an important source of hydrogen to meet this growing demand. QuestAir's PSA systems offer a cost-effective solution for recovering hydrogen from a range of industrial waste streams, including chlor-alkalai offgas, ethylene cracker offgas and various hydrogen-containing streams in the oil refining industry."
